Winter Garden, Plaid, and Just Plain Ugly!

Thank you for the amazing turnout at Juli Mills night! We had a wonderful time and hope you did as well. Lulu has a few fun new things in-store to share.

Winter Hobo wallets have arrived!!! We have the Lauren wallet in the new pattern Winter Garden. It's available in the styles of the Mavis and the Millie as well.

Nandy Bear is so sure of himself! Just look at him! Ok, no wait. Full of himself? Either way, Nandy Bear knows who he is and who he isn’t. He isn’t on his way to do some hard work, but he is on his way to ask you to do him a huge favor. It may involve a big hug, lots of love, and maybe some back up while watching a scary movie. Nandy Bear is quite the motivational speaker, too. Come on! Buy that snacky pie for me! You can do it! Yes you can! Oh no you didn’t.

Why does everybody think it’s OK to bother poor old Cozymonster with their troubles and crazy questions about the meaning of life? That’s what Cozy Monster would like to know. Last month, a very special visitor dropped by Lulu's. It's Clive, a Goldendoodle from Dublin, Ireland who works as an Autism Assistance Dog for an 11-year old boy named Murray. Last winter, Murray's family saw photos of beautiful Beaufort on our pal Petey's blog which lead to a summer vacation on Hilton Head. And of course, no trip to Beaufort is complete without a stop at Lulu Burgess!

Being European, Clive greeted me with a kiss on each cheek. He was a perfect gentleman.

He then came behind the counter to show us the difference between Euros and U.S. Dollars.

He's as squishy and huggable as one of our Jellycat Stuffed Toys. As I hugged him, I kept expecting to find a tag!

As the dog days of summer roll on, feel free to bring your (well-behaved) pooch into Lulu's for a cool drink and a biscuit. You never know, he or she may be a real bargain hound!

Polish, Pearls and Peepees!

We just got in the very cool, hip, British nail polish line called Butter London. And according to my trends and forecasting expert, Jane, a lot of fashion designers are now using Butter colors on the runways in New York City (and she should know, she lives there)... If you go to our Facebook page, Jane will tell you about the hottest colors and how to wear them!

We've just set our next Juli Mills night, for Tuesday, September 14th from 5:00- 8:00 pm. Come check out all of Juli's fall collection. We can't wait!!!! Bring a friend and have a glass of wine.

Among our most recent arrivals is Jellycat, our favorite stuffed animal line from London. You should see all of their new "Cordy Roys" (which really stands for corduroy, the fabric they're made out of). We got another shipment of Gurgle Pots (you know, the pitchers that gurgle after you pour) because we sold out of the first order. AND Pee-pee Teepees (for the sprinkling wee-wees) which we just can't keep in!! They sell as fast as we get them in. In short, the fall goodies are flying in and filling up the store with new surprises everday!

Ok, ok, I know it's early but we got in our Christmas Tree Candle in a Can.....this candle always sells out SO FAST I thought I'd give you a little heads up. It smells EXACTLY like a Christmas tree. You feel like you're standing in the forest and that Santa Claus is on his way! They'll be gone by mid to end of October. I promise.

This is our first blog entry! I just got back from the gift market in Atlanta and found lots of fun stuff for the fall and holidays. For instance, I got that really cool nail polish line from London called "Butter." Very hip and trendy colors. And Jellycat, the stuffed animal line from London, has come out with some very cute new animals! I ordered new holiday Hobo, which you're gonna love...
